These boxes meet and exceed all the ASTM Project 1A standards and are officially approved by USPS headquarters.

Hen Saver® hen aprons
Hen Saver® is a patent-pending hen apron designed to protect the backs and shoulders of hens. Our three-layer construction not only protect hens' backs from roosters, but prevents feather loss and cuts and gashes that can lead to picking, cannibalism and death in both domestic and commercial flocks; covers existing areas of feather loss and wounds to promote healing and feather re-growth; and provides potential protection against hawks by reducing their ability to securely grasp the chicken (hen or rooster).

Hen Saver® is a huge improvement over existing apron and saddle designs! Unique features that add to the functionality and durability of our apron include a notch at the base to accommodate your chicken's tail feathers, two different strap styles to suit your chicken's lifestyle (perch potatoes vs free-running), finished-seam stitching that fully secures a layer of strong, breathable batting between two layers of rip-, tear- and puncture-resistant (and washable) cotton fabric, and an optional shoulder protector.

Hen Saver® isn't just for hens! After we lost several chickens to chicken hawks, including Ethel, one of our prized Ameraucanas, we studied the pattern and location of the wounds created by the hawk's talons and designed the Hen Saver® hen apron to cover the area of our chicken's backs where the chicken hawks had attacked our chickens. We then constructed our apron so that it is more likely than existing designs to be puncture-resistant while tending to laterally fold and lift under the hawk's grasp to inhibit the ability of the hawk to gain secure purchase on the chicken. Since using the Hen Saver® hen aprons on our flock, we have not lost a single hen -- OR ROOSTER -- to chicken hawks. We do not guarantee that the Hen Saver® hen apron will protect your chickens 100% from birds of prey, but it will make it more difficult for them to grab your chickens, thereby potentially saving your chickens' lives.

Hen Saver® is available in three sizes to fit most standard hens, bantam hens, and bantam roosters, and two sizes to fit most standard breed roosters.















Avian Haven® hut for parrots and other caged birds
The Avian Haven® is a unique patent-pending bird hut that hangs over your bird’s existing perch, enabling your parrot to sleep in his natural perching position.

Our attractive hut has four sides like a human house, with a chimney on top and a window design on the side. Over the large arched doorway is a sign proclaiming "Home Sweet Home."

Inside the Avian Haven® hut, your bird will find a back wall of snuggle-able, thick-pile Sherpa that provides a plush place for sleeping and relaxing.

The Avian Haven® hut is available in two sizes, large (for Amazons, Macaws, African Greys, etc.) and small (for Conures, Cockatiels, Quaker Parrots, etc.) in Brown, and Green. Two additional sizes, Extra Small for smaller cages and Extra Large fore the largest parrots, are in development.

Please note: No pet bird product is 100% safe. Supervise your bird’s use of the Avian Haven® hut. Inspect hut frequently for wear and damage and replace hut if any of its components begin to tear or fray. Remove promptly if your bird begins to ingest material. The Avian Haven® hut is not intended for heavy chewers.

Redmon Bird Scale
As a serious breeder or concerned bird owner, it is important to understand how critical
weight is indicative of your bird's health and well-being. Successful owner/breeders
never ignore fluctuations and trends in aa bird's weight. The Redmon weight tracking
system is designed to make this important task easy and effective. The accurate scale
(+/- 1g) comes with a sturdy wood triangular perch that has 3 different sized perches to accommodate all sizes of birds. The perch easily lifts off of the glass plate so the scale can be used for any small animal or even to measure food. Maximum wt 5 lbs.
